"Carvers Cuttin' Up"

at Central Point Woodcarvers Group in Southern Oregon

Who We Are

The Central Point Woodcarvers are a friendly group of carvers getting together to enjoy the age-old tradition of woodcarving.  In doing so, we hope to promote and preserve the art of woodcarving.  Our group has carvers of all ages, all levels of experience, from beginners to expert.

We can provide instruction to beginning carvers, assisting and advising you on how to accomplish what you want with your carving.  There is no charge for instruction and advice, though you will need your own tools.

When We Meet

Our group has freelance carving meetings every Saturday from noon to 3 pm at the Central Point Senior Center at 123 North 2nd Street, Central Point, OR 97502.  You don’t have to be a  member of the Senior Center, or be a Senior.  Woodcarvers of all ages are welcome, and children are welcome accompanied by an adult. Whether you’ve never carved at all and are interested in learning the fun of woodcarving, have some experience or have been carving for years, you’re welcome to join us.  Tools are required, and we can provide you with information on tools you’ll want to have. Click here for a map to the Senior Center.

Come Join Us

Join our group. You can simply attend one of our Saturday free-lance carving sessions, or use the Contact form to contact us for more information.  The cost to attend is $4 a month.   The fees help pay for the use of the Senior Center, social activities, occasional training seminars and incidentals.   Kids are free when accompanied by an adult.  It’s a great place to have fun, learn a bit (or more) about carving, and enjoy your hobby in the company of other like-minded folks.
